The
AMOUNT
of radiation at each wavelength is different and depends
on the temperature of the object. The
color that a star appears as is the color of the wavelength at which it
puts out most of its radiation.
This graph shows the amount of energy that the
Sun puts out at different wavelengths. To see electromagnetic
radiation outside the range of our vision, astronomers use instruments
that are sensitive to those particular wavelengths.

each of the different wavelength regions.
