The video features some of its most beautiful images, and describes some of the amazing discoveries astronomers have made with the telescope since its launch in 1990.

How to use this video in the classroom

Video: 25 Years of Hubble can be used as:

A pre-engagement activity. Have students view the entire video as an introduction to a unit of study featuring galaxy evolution.

A reinforcement tool. Following an activity in which students learn how galaxies interact, propose a few questions, such as: "What question can we ask here?"; "What about here?"; "And here?"; and "What will happen to the galaxies after the collision?" Have students view the video in its entirety and discuss their answers to your questions.

An individual learning activity. After viewing the video in its entirety, students can summarize the information contained in the video.
